Clone Trooper

Clone troopers were the genetically-identical soldiers and the main backbone of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Cloned from the bounty hunter Jango Fett on the planet of Kamino, these clones were modified to grow and learn at an advanced rate in order to be more quickly prepared to serve in the war against the Separatist droid army.

Creation

The creation of the clone troopers on Kamino started with an act from the Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas. Sifo-Dyas' goal was to create an army for the Republic in order to defend it, however he himself never saw the completion of this army as he was murdered by Count Dooku before it was even started. Dooku, under the name "Tyranus", oversaw the formation of this clone army from this point on and began searching for the proper candidate for the clones' template. Ultimately, it would be Jango Fett who was chosen and the clone army's creation had begun.

Rank/Classes

The clone troopers had a system of rank used; at the bottom are regular troopers, or privates, corporals, and sergeants, then the officers are, from least to greatest, lieutenant, captain, and commander.
