Admiral Dao served in the Clone Wars with Jedi Ima-Gun-Di and participated in the Battle of Ryloth. During the battle, Dao tried to break through the Separatist blockade in order for relief supplies to reach Di and his men. While contacting the Jedi Temple asking for reinforcements, one of Dao's bridge officers alerted him that they'd lost all power and were dead in space. Moments later, Dao and his men were all killed when their ship was destroyed.
