Jedi Master Plo Koon led several LAAT/i gunships and their escorting squadron of V-19 Torrent starfighters to extract the Republic troops on the planet's surface. He ordered his wingman, Warthog, to protect the gunships, while General Koon initiated an attack run on the approaching Vulture droid starfighters, clearing the way for the rest of the Republic ships. Though the fighters made it past the blockade, they were pursued by a pair of droid starfighters into the atmosphere of Felucia. Warthog came under attack by the two pursing Vulture droids, and General Koon turned around to assist the clone pilot, saving his life by shooting down the Vulture droid that was on his tail.

―Warthog, after Koon destroyed the two Zygerian Starfighters pursuing him[src]

Warthog was one of three pilots assisting the Wolf Fleet and flew a Z-95 Headhunter to rescue Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Rex, and Togruta slaves on Kadavo, where Plo Koon led the battle in the sky. When two Zygerrian fighters attacked Warthog, Koon shut off his engines and floated behind the fighters and attacked the ships. Warthog praised Koon, and the Jedi told him to keep his focus.
