Knowing he was needed, General Plo Koon went to rescue the survivors. The Separatist blockade consisted of Munificent Star Frigates were successful in driving off the Republic forces maintaining their aerial supremacy over the planet. Plo Koon along with two Low Altitude Assault Transport and three V-19 Torrent Starfighters began to penetrate the high atmosphere. One Munificent began to box them in but Commander Wolffe ordered that their Venator fire on it, destroying it. Soon the group got into the planet's low atmosphere narrowly escaping will vulture droids still close behind.
Pilot Warthog was endangered by the last two vulture droids. Plo Koon knew he couldn't let the last escort trooper die, so he turned around and charged the vultures, blasting one which hit the other bringing them both down. Unfortunately, the debris plummeted to the ground and destroyed one of the unmanned AT-TEs. Plo saw to it that the gunships landed and the rest of the group filed in. Still not knowing where Ahsoka was, Obi-Wan contacted her, only to realize that she was far from ready. Confident that she had the droids on the run, Ahsoka stubbornly refused to be picked up but the gunships landed infront of her Turbo Tank, forcing her to cease fire. Ahsoka and her fellow gunner got on the ships when they took off, only to witness the three others being blown to oblivion. Plo Koon and Warthog then arrived when they docked with Wolffe's Venator. The battle was lost.
Darth Sidious then hired the bounty hunter, Cad Bane, to steal a holocron from the Jedi Temple. Ahsoka was reprimanded for her insubordination and temporarily reassigned to the Jedi Temple Archives on Coruscant.
