Ky Narec was a Jedi Knight who served the Galactic Republic shortly before the beginning of the Clone Wars.
Biography
Ky Narec crash landed on the planet Rattatak about 10 years before the Clone Wars. Upon landing, he met a Dathomiri slave girl after fighting off a band of raiders, named Asajj Ventress. Narec noticed her Force sensitivity while he was fighting off the raiders, and began training her to become a Jedi. The two eventually defeated a Rattataki warlord on the planet but he was later shot in the back by a Weequay pirate. Ventress became angry at his death, and immediately took his lightsaber and began slaughtering the thugs. This act of savagery and anger turned her over to the Dark Side, and she eventually became an apprentice to Count Dooku, and joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
