Monnk was a clone commander who served as a clone SCUBA trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Under the command of Jedi General Kit Fisto, he participated in defense of the planet Dac with Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Prince Lee-Char, Captain Ackbar, Senator Amidala, and Senator Meena Tills.

Monnk and his group of SCUBA Troopers fought the Separatist forces throughout the battle. After the first wave of the attack, commander Riff Tamson pulled his droid and Quarren forces back to deploy the Hydroid Medusas. Monnk, still equipped with his Mini-Sub, escorted Tano and Prince Lee-Char back to senator Tills, but the moment of peace was short-lived as the Hydroid Medusas attacked the group. Monnk and his men, along with the Jedi and Mon Calamari soldiers, took position to defend against them, but to no avail as they were near-indestructible. Ackbar advised Lee-Char to pull their forces back to the deep sea caves. However, Monnk, along with several of his troopers and other Mon Cala soldiers, were captured in the process and were prepared to be sent to labor camps.
