Valor was a Republic space station that operated during the Clone Wars. It hosted a Republic fleet strategy conference in 20 BBY, which was targeted for destruction by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Separatists filled a hijacked Jedi Cruiser, the Renown, with numerous canisters of the volatile fuel, rhydonium and piloted the cruiser to fly directly into the station, detonating on impact.
However, the droid group, D-Squad found themselves on board the cruiser after escaping Abafar in their mission to return a Separatist Encryption Module. They then received a new mission to stop the cruiser by detonating the explosives early.
